COELAN Boat Coating Primer

The COELAN Boat Coating Primer is a primer for hard and softwood that can be applied in a system structure with a subsequently applied transparent COELAN.

The next coat can be applied after 2 to 3 hours. It offers very good absorbency and bonding capacity and contains neither fungicides nor biocides.

COELAN Flexo Primer LE is the bonding agent for trans­parent coat­ings on elastic substrates such as inflatable dinghies, fenders, rub rails and boat cushions. It is in­tended for surface preparation where un­color­ed COELAN Trans­parent Gloss Coating app­li­ca­tions are anti­cipated. The combined use of Flexo Primer LE and un­colored COELAN Trans­parent Gloss Coating will allow the original substrate color to show through the applied coating.

COELAN Flexo Primer

 

COELAN Flexo Primer is the bonding agent for colored coatings on elastic sub­strates such as inflatable ding­hies, rubber dinghies, fenders, rub rails, boat cushions, skin on frame (SOF) kayaks, patio shade covers and many other plastic or fabric surfaces. The combined use of Flexo Primer and COELAN Color Paste in conjunction with COELAN Trans­parent Gloss Coating will overcoat the original substrate color with the color pigmented COELAN Coating.

COELAN elastic, red pig­mented primer is for­mu­lat­ed specifically for use on many varieties of dark grained wood with maho­gany, dark red oak and redwood among the more common. COELAN Primer is an integral part of the COELAN Boat Coating app­lications process. The primer is necessary on all bare wood and helps in forming a chemical and mechanical bond with the COELAN trans­parent gloss coating product. In addition the primer contains Ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors to aid in prolonging the applied coating service life.
